8 is GREAT!

See even the bulliten board says so=) Here is Terina with all the rest of the kids in the Ward that turn eight this year. Terina is the first and some of the kids pictured are almost a year younger than her...but it's still a funny picture!
So lots has been happening around here. Gary is on the road pretty much during the week and home (most) weekends. This past weekend was a big one for our family with Micheal and Jenie and company coming down from Whitecourt and Krista coming up from Texas to be here for dad and Sandys big day=) We decided to shoehorn Terinas baptism in while everyone was here. Including some last minute changes in location everything went off without a hitch and it was a wonderful day for Terina. My weekend went like this....
Thrusday: pick up Krista from Calgary Airport and 9:30pm. Drive home through blizzard, drive off road and back on, develop permanent knot in neck muscles from trying to see where the freakin road is and not crash. Get home safe (after 2am) and swear she can WALK from Calgary next time she comes to Canada in the winter=)
Friday: Terinas Birthday party. Take 6 girls into see BOLT in 3-D. Spend 2 hours listening to 6 little girls say "Look, Look, it's different if you take off the glasses!!!" over and over and over and over again, lol. Come home for Cheesecake (thank you mom and Krista) because I forgot to bake a birthday cake (bad Mom!)
Saturday: Witness Dad and Sandy Seal their love for time and all eternity. Congratulations and good work you two!!! Go to a family dinner (that I didn't have to prepare=) ) at Sandy's Aunt and Uncles place and have fun visiting. Stop by the distribution center to buy and dress for Terina for after her Baptism. Go out for Valentines dinner with Mom and Rod, Micheal and Jenie and Krista (and me and Gary)
Sunday: Church and family dinner out at Dad and Sandys. Get KILLED playing Mario Kart against Krista, Jenie and Sandy. I soooooooooo suck at that game, but fun time was had screaming at the TV, yelling at the kids to "Get out of the way, I can't steer!!!!" all in all behaving very maturely and setting a great example for our children of good sportsmanship...=) Oh, and find out we don't have the Magrath font and make a few phone calls to beg to use the Raymond one (thank you sooooooo much Bro. Salmon!!) Go home and put together the food for the family dinner and visit with Stephen and Karin who came down for the baptism.
Monday: Run back out to Cardston to get Terina a dress that FITS HER (ooops, bad mom) come back and finish getting food and everything else together for the 1:00 baptism. Have the baptism, everything runs smoothly and Terina is beautiful and we are SO PROUD OF HER. Thank you Jenie for bringing the video "Daughter of a King" for us to watch, it was perfect! Have the Family dinner and visit and relax with family and remember what the weekend has been about; People making the right choices and families getting together to support each other. Priceless.

P.S. I was so busy in the kitchen and visting and cleaning up that I didn't get all the pictures I wanted. Grandma and Grandpa Bowlby came in from Cardston and I am so glad they could come, even if they aren't in any of the pictures=( bad granddaughter!

Yep, great weekend!
Glad I could come up and share in the festivities ... even if I have to walk next time. Oh right! I WON'T ever come up in the winter again!
At least till the next baptism I suppose ...
