Hehehehe...I had a little to much fun making this cake for Austins 14th birthday. He came up with the concept and I thought "Feed Barbie to the Sharks..What a GREAT idea!!" I may have some deep seeded Barbie issues...that witch... I digress..
The cake inside was a Red Velvet Cake, I had never made one before but I thought that a deep red cake was the only way to go for a shark feeding frenzy so I got a recipe off the internet (I just made the cake not the icing from this recipe) and was pleasantly surprised by the cake. For those of you, like me, who have never had it before it is a very rich moist slightly chocolaty VERY red cake, kinda a cross between a brownie and a cake for texture. Very yummy and a little slice will do ya because that sucker is RICH. The kids all thought it was great, and my goal in life is to make the kids in my life happy after all....lol.

that is awesome
you're amazing. the cake is disturbing.
It's a scaled-back version from the vision Austin described. Severed limbs, more blood, multiple sharks...
Our special effects department just didn't have the budget for the set design.
Love it! I think it turned out great.
